Blank clothing for printing

4 min read

In short

An order is at least 250 euro excluding VAT and is on your workbench within 1 to 2 working days. Test your technique on one pack first, then reorder by article number.

Where can you buy blank clothing without a label?

Our wholesale collection is supplied blank: no label in the neck and no print you have to cover up. That is exactly what a print shop or embroidery studio needs, and what your customer expects when the garment is later sold under their own brand.

For decoration work, the shirts are the most interesting: 13 T-shirts and a piqué polo, 3 longsleeves, 4 hoodies and 9 shirts. On top of that there are 8 two piece sets and 39 jackets and bodywarmers for jobs that go beyond a tee, and five groups with their own page. Together that makes 60 styles, each colour with its own article number.

You request the price for your whole selection: within 1 working day you get the price per piece for each article, excluding VAT. With that you work out your margin on wholesale clothing and put together the quote for your own customer, without an account. Buying clothing without a KvK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce number) is possible too.

If you buy as a business, you reclaim the VAT; as a private individual you don't.

What is the minimum order for blank clothing?

The smallest order is 1 pack of 8 pieces per article, and an order is at least 250 euro excluding VAT. Packs of different articles count together towards that, so testing two or three articles side by side is the logical start. We confirm your price per piece on your total order, not on the quantity per article, together with the current stock.

  • Sizes per pack: usually 1 S, 3 M, 2 L, 1 XL and 1 XXL, sometimes 2 S, 2 M, 2 L, 1 XL and 1 XXL; we confirm it with your request, before you approve
  • Price on request: one request for your whole selection, with shipping per box on top: 15 euro in the Netherlands, 29.99 euro outside it

Which blank clothing suits screen printing, DTG, DTF or embroidery?

Broadly, you choose the technique by the type of garment. The fabric is listed for each article on its product page, but we don't promise exactly what a specific article can handle: a test shows that. Put the article number in your request and we'll tell you what we know about it.

  • T-shirts and longsleeves: a large printable area, the standard work for screen printing and DTG
  • Hoodies, jackets and bodywarmers: more often embroidered, usually with a compact logo on the chest or sleeve
  • Knitted sweaters, cardigans and polos: embroidery rather than print
  • Shirts and longsleeves with a sheen: you only know what the sheen can take after a test
  • DTF: handy when one design has to go on different articles, or for a run where a screen printing setup doesn't pay off

Can you also have the blank clothing printed here?

No. MakeaLabel does not print or embroider the stock articles: you buy blanks here, and the decoration happens on your press, your screen printing line or your embroidery machine. That keeps the lead time short and the price predictable, because there is no processing step between your order and shipping. Your own hangtags on the stock blanks are possible, from 500 pieces.

If the clothing needs to arrive with branding already on it, that is your own production: your own label in wholesale articles from 100 pieces, or T-shirts, longsleeves, hoodies and sweaters on our base model from 10 pieces, with your neck label and print.

Allow at least 5 to 6 weeks for the sample and at least another 5 to 6 weeks for the bulk, each time after payment, depending on style, run size and country. Many printers use both routes, depending on their customer's deadline.

Do you get the same blanks with a repeat order?

Yes, by article number. A customer who reorders their tees expects the same fit and the same colour as last time, and you don't want to work out your settings all over again. That is why every article has a fixed number: you order by number and you get the same article back.

Because it is stock and not production, we first check with every repeat order whether the article is still available. If a colour or size is running low, you hear about it before you promise it to your own customer.

Why do printers get their blanks here?

A print shop doesn't buy a story, but an available article at a price that is right today.

  • Supplied logo-free

No label and no existing print: the article goes straight into the press or the embroidery machine.

  • The whole collection on one page

    130 articles · 60 styles

From T-shirts and hoodies to jackets and knitwear, with the fabric for each article.

  • Trial run with 1 pack

    8 pieces per article

A test run for a new customer costs you 8 pieces, not half a pallet.

  • 1 to 2 working days

The stock is in the Netherlands, so you can take on a tight job too without waiting for a production run.

  • Repeat orders by article number

Same number, same article: your settings and your test print stay usable.

  • We don't decorate the stock

    Blanks, no processing

If the clothing needs to arrive with labels and prints, it is your own production: on our base model from 10 pieces, your own label in wholesale articles from 100.

How do you order blank clothing from stock?

Four steps, without applying for an account first. You choose the blanks, we confirm price and stock, and then it's up to your machines.

  1. 01

Choose the blanks for your job

For each job, choose the article that suits the technique, and the number of packs of 8 pieces.

  2. 02

    Send article numbers and deadline

We confirm your price per piece and the stock per colour and size, so you can give your customer a firm date.

  3. 03

    Approve the quote

Articles, quantities, size split and lead time on one quote. As an EU business, add your VAT number to reverse-charge the VAT.

  4. 04

    Receive, check and decorate

On your workbench within 1 to 2 working days. Check the delivery before it goes into the press.

Questions about blank clothing for printing

Can I test a technique on one pack first?

Yes, and we recommend it before you commit to a run of hundreds of pieces. One pack of 8 pieces is enough to tune your settings, your ink or your thread to exactly that fabric; if you want to test one piece first, a sample piece is possible, with a price per article on request. If you are happy with it, you reorder the same article number and your test print works as a reference.

What if a delivered article is wrong or damaged?

Then we exchange it. So check a delivery before it goes into the press or the embroidery machine: once something is printed or embroidered, it can't go back. There are also no returns on unprinted wholesale sales.

Will you meet my customer's deadline?

Usually yes, because the stock is in the Netherlands and reaches you within 1 to 2 working days. Put the deadline and the article numbers in your request, and we confirm in advance whether everything is in stock.

Do you also deliver to print shops in Belgium or Germany?

Yes. Shipping outside the Netherlands costs 29.99 euro per box; we agree the lead time to Belgium, Germany and the rest of the EU per order. Put your delivery address in your request and it will be in your quote.

Deadline in sight? Tell us.

Tell us which blanks you need and by when, and you get your price per piece and the current stock. One pack of 8 pieces per article is enough; an order is at least 250 euro excluding VAT.
