What is the difference between workwear and a corporate uniform?
Workwear is the broad term: all clothing worn at work, from a polo behind the counter to work trousers on the building site. You choose workwear on function: wear and tear, washing frequency, freedom of movement and how visible your logo needs to be.
A corporate uniform is narrower: one coherent outfit in your house colours, in which your whole team looks the same, with a size rollout across roles and fixed reorders. If that is what you are looking for, take a look at our page about corporate uniforms. If you are looking for separate workwear with your logo, you are in the right place here.
If the clothing is not for the work floor, you are looking for something else. If it is for your audience, to sell or give away, custom merchandise is the route, with festival merchandise for an event date and influencer merch for a creator drop.
If your team plays sport in it or it is for an association, read more about custom sportswear or custom club apparel.
Printed or embroidered workwear: which is better?
Embroider your logo if the clothing often goes in the wash: it sits in the fabric and barely wears. Choose print for large areas, many colours or fine details that become illegible in thread. You can easily combine them on one garment, for example an embroidered chest logo with a printed back text.
With workwear, the logo is the whole point: it makes your mechanic recognisable at the door and your host on the floor. That is why we first choose how the logo goes on and only then the style. Because we produce the clothing ourselves, the fabric suits the technique: sturdier under a large embroidery, smoother where a print has to stay sharp.
At what temperature can you wash workwear?
That depends on the fabric, and we record it per style on the care label. We do not promise a fixed temperature such as 60 °C in advance. Our fabrics are pre-washed, though, so shrinkage is minimal.
So tell us in your request how often the clothing is washed and what it needs to withstand. That decides the fabric, the logo technique and whether we advise a heavier quality than you seem to need at first glance.
Which workwear suits your sector?
Every work environment asks something different of fabric, fit and logo technique. These are the requirements we come across most often: not a reference list, but a starting point for your request.
Construction and installation
Heavy wear, knees and pockets that have to hold up, and a logo that is still legible after the summer shutdown. Here we advise sturdy fabrics and embroidery over print.
Hospitality
Stain-resistant fabrics, daily washing and an outfit that still looks neat at 23:00. We combine aprons and hospitality outfits with polo shirts or shirts for the front of house.
Retail
Recognisable on the shop floor, comfortable during a long shift, and clothing that changes per season or campaign without your house style shifting.
Logistics and transport
Freedom of movement, layers you put on and take off between the cold store and the tail lift, and jackets or bodywarmers where the logo can be large.
Technical services and maintenance
Clothing that withstands oil, tools and frequent washing, with a name or role on the chest, so customers know who is at the door.
Facility services and cleaning
High washing frequency, colourfastness and simple distribution, often with the same base in several colours per location or team.
Which workwear can you have made?
Workwear works in layers. We make them all, in the same house colours and with the same logo application, so the whole fits together.
- Base layer: T-shirts, long sleeves and polo shirtsT-shirts and long sleeves from 10 pieces per colour, polo shirts in piqué or interlock from 35.
- Mid layer: hoodies, crewnecks and fleecesHoodies and sweaters from 10 pieces per colour, for outdoor teams and cold workplaces.
- Outer layer: jackets and bodywarmersFrom 100 pieces with your embroidery, with room for a large logo placement.
- Trousers: work trousers and chinosWoven trousers from 100 pieces per style, in a fit that lasts a whole working day.
- Aprons and hospitality outfitsIn stain-resistant fabrics, with an embroidered logo at chest height.
- Caps and accessoriesEmbroidered caps from 150 pieces, to finish off the whole.
Frequently asked questions about workwear
From how many pieces can I have workwear made?
T-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies and sweaters from 10 pieces per colour, polo shirts from 35, work trousers and jackets from 100 pieces per style. You can combine styles within one production, as long as you reach the minimum per style. How a rollout across several roles works, you can read on our page about corporate uniforms.
How much does it cost to have workwear made?
A T-shirt costs €29.99 from 10 pieces and a hoodie €39.99, with print and printed neck label, excluding VAT; embroidery costs €5 extra per piece. For polo shirts, trousers and jackets you get a tailored price. A sample costs from €150, depending on the style. Send your logo, the styles and the quantities per role, and you get a quote per style.
Can you supply certified safety clothing?
For clothing with a safety function (think of high visibility or flame-retardant properties), European standards and mandatory certification apply. So ask for it explicitly: we confirm per project what we can supply and do not promise any certification we cannot prove.
Can we put names or roles on the clothing?
Yes, with embroidery or print in the place you specify: chest, sleeve or back. That can be a job title per team or a name per employee. Tell us in your request how many variants you need, and we include them in the quote.
